ATC Simulator (R-ASIM)

ATC Simulator (R-ASIM) is intended for on-the-job training (OJT) of Air Traffic Control (ATC) personnel and aimed at an enhancement of individual skills of operators in performance of “real” tasks when controlling the air traffic.

R-ASIM satisfies all ATC training needs for aerodrome, precision approach and en-route control training. Particularly, it is helpful for those who need to become familiar with, and to get a practice with SDPD operation.

R-ASIM open architecture provides a variety of configurations integrating one or more Student Working Positions (WP) for execution of trainee tasks, Instructor WP(s) for scenario preparation and exercise control, and ATC audio communications system, supplemented by recording and replay equipment.

In addition to OJT-specific features a design of Graphical User Interface is the same as used in SDPD modules to provide trainees an access to all SDPD functions as in the real life operations.

R-ASIM includes a set of exercise scenarios displaying various simulated traffic situations and simulated flights pre-defined by the instructor. The student-controller performs ATC tasks under the supervision of the instructor whereby all the session can be recorded for evaluation of the student performance.
