Command and Control Information Systems (C2IS)

Recent development and integration of advanced C2I applications within the Slovak Land Forces environment result from the requirement for a procedural and operational interoperability of the Slovak Land Forces with its NATO counterparts in compliance with NATO Network Enabled Capability (NNEC) philosophy. In 2009, R-SYS, in close cooperation with CSBC s.r.o. delivered the first version of C2 Mobile Information System (C2SYS MIS) providing initial capabilities of tactical battle management for highly mobile lower-echelon troops in accordance with NNEC. Today, C2SYS MIS satisfies all requirements for interoperability in planning, control, coordination and supervision of operations in a unified communication and information environment called digitized battlefield (NNEC environment).

C2I development focuses also on implementation of Multilateral Interoperability Program (MIP) on national level. MIP contribution is to facilitate a timely flow of accurate and relevant information between distinct national C2I systems co-operating within NATO missions. R-SYS along with CSBC s.r.o. have developed a unique MIP gateway providing information exchange between national C2I systems and interface for communication control.

Besides this, R-SYS subcontracts CSBC s.r.o. in deliveries of 'live simulation' equipment designed for preparation, control and supervision of armoured troops exercises conducted on tactical level of command, and based on tank and moving target simulation. Its intentional use is to improve combat capabilities of troops on different levels of command and as a consequence, to reduce the forces training costs.
