On September 24–25, 2025, R-SYS actively participated in the DCO Symposium 2025, dedicated to the theme “The Role of Volunteers During Emergency Situations.” The event took place at the Police Academy and brought together experts in crisis management, the integrated rescue system, volunteer organizations, and technology partners.
Volunteers as the First Line of Response
The key message of the symposium was clear: the first minutes of an emergency are decisive. A well-prepared and coordinated volunteer is often the first to protect lives and property before professional units arrive. This is not about improvisation but the result of systematic training, clear standards, and close cooperation with the integrated rescue system.
Discussions focused on three pillars of good practice:
- Post-event recovery – psychological support, debriefing, and sharing of lessons learned.
- Preparedness – continuous training, exercises, and interoperable equipment,
- Safe deployment – clear communication channels, command structures, and acting within authorization,

The Contribution of R-SYS Technologies
R-SYS contributed its perspective as a long-term technology partner specializing in command-and-control and monitoring systems for crisis and rescue operations. At the symposium, we presented the IXO System, which is capable of:
- receiving and processing data from multiple sources and sensors in real time,
- visualizing data on a map to enhance situational awareness for mission command centers,
- enabling data sharing between professional and volunteer units,
- integrating drone remote identification technologies into rescue operations.
These technologies provide rapid mobilization, efficient resource deployment, and safe coordination in the field.
An Open Platform for Cooperation
The symposium was not about creating new rules, but about sharing experiences and finding practical solutions. R-SYS values the opportunity to engage in discussion alongside volunteers, rescue units, and other partners, and to contribute to strengthening community resilience.
We believe that the new connections established at the DCO Symposium 2025 will foster innovative approaches to volunteer engagement and support the deeper integration of modern technologies into crisis management.
