R-SYS s.r.o. has a long-standing commitment to supporting the young generation of aeromodellers. We are immensely proud that, thanks in part to our support, two talented junior representatives, Anička Šepeľová and Oliver Überlauer, participated in the prestigious World Championship for Control Line Model Aircraft (category F2B) in Perth, Australia (May 2026).
The journey to world success required months of demanding daily preparation, a great deal of determination, and the ability to face unexpected challenges. However, both Anička and Oliver demonstrated admirable fighting spirit and excellent teamwork.
A Demanding Journey and Unexpected Trials
Following a grueling 29-hour flight from Vienna to Perth and two weeks of intensive training directly at the championship venue in Whiteman Park, our representatives had to face serious technical complications and damage to their models right at the start.
In these critical moments, however, the team’s cohesion truly shone. With the help of the Contest Director, Trevor Letchford, and willing local aeromodellers, they managed to secure the equipment, allowing our representatives to continue training from early morning until dusk. They were not deterred even by the challenging Australian conditions, such as rapid wind changes or dense morning fog.

Excellent Results in Fierce Global Competition
In a massive field of dozens of competitors from all over the world, our young pilots delivered fantastic performances and secured great placements for Slovakia:
- Anička Šepeľová achieved a major success, winning a wonderful 3rd place in the Women’s category (8th place among juniors and 42nd in the overall World Championship rankings).
- Oliver Überlauer delivered stable flights and took a great 5th place in the Junior category (34th in the overall World Championship rankings). Moreover, he had already confirmed his excellent form at the preceding World Cup, where he claimed a superb 4th place among juniors.
Beyond competing, our representatives also displayed outstanding sportsmanship when they actively helped and cheered on their friend and fellow competitor from Germany during the finals.
Motivation for the Years Ahead
For Anička and Oliver, this was an invaluable life experience that elevated them to a world-class level and brought them new international friendships. Both are ready to leverage their honed skills next year at the European Championship in Italy, and subsequently at the 2028 World Championship in France.
R-SYS s.r.o. warmly congratulates both representatives on their achievements and fighting spirit. It is an honor for us to stand by the development of such talents. Big thanks for the cooperation go to the LMK Humenné and LERMAS clubs, as well as to the partner companies ERA a.s. and Jetimodel s.r.o., which supported this demanding journey.
